DIY foot baths for sore feet

A warm bath to soak your feet in is sure to give you some degree of pain relief. However, don't be discouraged if you don't have a specialized foot bath, as you can use any big bowl or container. Make sure to keep the water warm but not too hot (test them before you put your feet inside). Additionally, you might want to prepare some clean towels to keep any splashes off your floor or carpet.

That being said, here are some great DIY foot baths for different situations.

Refresh and Detox With an Orange-Infused Bath

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup of baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salt
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 5 drops of Jojoba oil or orange oil
  • Orange slices for decoration

Method:

Mix well, and add 3 tablespoons of the mixture to your foot bath. Soak for 20-30 minutes.

Heal and Soothe With Peppermint and Coconut Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 4 drops peppermint essential oils
  • 2 drops lemon balm essential oils
  • 3 or 4 eucalyptus oil essential oils
  • 1/2 spoon coconut oil (optional)

Method:

Boil together all oils in two cups of water. Add to a container full of warm water. Make sure the temperature isn't too hot, then soak your feet for 20-30 minutes.

Rejuvenate and Cleanse With Rosemary & Lemon

Ingredients:

  • 3 Sprigs Rosemary Fresh or Dried
  • 2 Lemons Sliced
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salt
  • 1/2 cup Baking Soda

Method:

Boil the rosemary in a pot of water for 5 minutes. Let cool. Add to a large container with layers of sliced lemons, salt, and baking soda. Soak for 15-30 minutes.

Enjoy!
